Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Executive, based in Kolkata. The HR Executive will oversee day-to-day HR operations including managing employee relations, implementing HR policies, and coordinating with colleagues to ensure organizational efficiency. Responsibilities also include recruitment, maintaining employee records, and promoting a positive and compliant workplace culture. Collaborative problem-solving and supporting employee engagement initiatives are central to the role.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll for employees.
- Statutory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all statutory requirements related to payroll, including Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax, Income Tax, etc.
- Salary Administration: Handle salary calculations, deductions, bonuses, increments, and arrears as per company policies and local regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain payroll records, employee database, and related documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Reporting: Generate payroll reports, summaries, and analyses for management review and statutory reporting.
- Employee Queries: Respond to employee queries related to payroll, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Act as POSH facilitator by reframing the Internal Committee, issuing appointment letters and organizing quarterly trainings/workshops across India.
- Promote a safe and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources (HR), including HR operations and HR management
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies aligned with organizational goals
- Proven expertise in employee relations, fostering positive workplace environments
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Ability to work collaboratively and handle sensitive situations with professionalism
