Job Title: HR Business Partner

Reports to: HRBP Lead
Role Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert on all matters related to employee relations, disciplinary processes, and performance management. This role ensures a fair, consistent, and legally compliant approach to managing employee issues while fostering a positive workplace culture. The HRBP will partner closely with business leaders and employees to proactively address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure policy adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Act as the first point of contact for employee grievances, workplace issues, and conflict resolution.
- Investigate employee complaints thoroughly, ensuring impartiality, confidentiality, and timely resolution.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on handling sensitive employee relations matters.
- Conduct regular ER trend analysis and recommend proactive measures to improve employee experience.
- Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to mitigate risks.
Disciplinary and Performance Management:
- Manage the disciplinary process end to end, including documentation, factfinding, and hearings.
- Guide managers through performance improvement plans (PIPs), terminations, and other corrective actions.
- Ensure all disciplinary actions are fair, consistent, and aligned with company policies and employment law.
- Train managers and leaders on effective documentation and handling of performance and behavioral issues.
Policy Compliance and Documentation:
- Review and update employee relations policies, disciplinary frameworks, and grievance redressal procedures.
- Ensure that all actions and documentation are audit ready and compliant with internal policies and local labor laws.
- Maintain confidential ER and disciplinary case records.
Business Partnering:
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Function heads to understand team dynamics and organizational challenges.
- Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement strategies.
- Support business units in managing change initiatives while minimizing people-related risks.
Employee Experience and Culture Building:
- Promote a culture of fairness, respect, and inclusivity.
- Support engagement surveys, action planning, and initiatives that enhance trust and retention.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in employee relations, grievance management, workplace investigations, and disciplinary processes.
- Strong understanding of labour laws, statutory requirements, and HR compliance.
- High emotional intelligence with strong conflict resolution, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret people practices and ER trends and recommend data-driven improvements.

- Experience working with HRMS platforms and digital HR tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, accuracy, and patience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-4 years of HR experience.
