About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Travel Head to lead and scale our global travel function. The ideal candidate will have strong international travel & visa expertise, proven vendor management capabilities, and the ability to build cost-efficient, scalable travel operations in a rapidly expanding startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Travel & Visa Management

  • Oversee end-to-end international and domestic travel operations for employees.
  • Ensure seamless visa processing, compliance with country-specific regulations, and timely documentation.
  • Develop travel policies aligned with global mobility standards.

2. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage and negotiate with travel partners—airlines, hotels, visa agencies, insurance partners, travel management companies (TMCs).
  • Set up SLAs, review performance periodically, and ensure service quality.
  • Explore and onboard new vendors aligned with expansion plans.

3. Cost Management & Optimization

  • Drive efficient travel planning with a strong focus on cost control and budget adherence.
  • Implement best practices for cost savings without compromising employee experience.
  • Track, analyze, and report travel spending and trends.

4. Process Excellence & System Implementation

  • Build scalable processes for travel bookings, approvals, reimbursements, and travel safety.
  • Implement travel management systems/tools to streamline workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit, legal, and finance requirements.

5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing travel operations team.
  • Work closely with HR, Admin, Finance, and Business Leaders to plan travel based on business needs.
  • Handle escalations and ensure employee satisfaction throughout the travel cycle.

6. Expansion & Strategy

  • Support the company's global expansion by designing travel frameworks for new markets.
  • Create travel readiness plans for rapid scaling and large movements of staff.
  • Develop policies for travel safety, risk management, and crisis response.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in global travel & visa operations; startup or high-growth environment preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and vendor management expertise.
  • Excellent understanding of global mobility, travel compliance, and immigration processes.
  • Proven experience in cost optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with 6-day working.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
