Responsibilities
- You will lead the India-based sales team of 8-10 BDRs, AEs, and sales analysts (to start with).
- You will own a challenging revenue target for this team and work towards delivering it with all your might.
- You will start off in a player-coach mode and transition into a pure manager/coach mode at the right time (we have a strong inclination towards hands-on managers).
- You will become a master of the Humantic AI product, Buyer Intelligence as a segment, and the general Sales AI market.
- You will become a trusted sales advisor to potential customers (that will include CROs and senior sales leaders) and have an ability to deeply understand their pains and needs and convincingly convey how Humantic AI can solve those pains.
- You will evangelize buyer intelligence and educate potential customers on how it changes the game for their sales teams.
- You will take over the existing playbooks and evolve them into next-level AI-assisted playbooks.
- You will drive the entire sales process from prospecting to qualification to closing, working closely with the Head of Sales and C-Suite leaders.
- You will create, refine, and execute sales processes, develop playbooks, and provide valuable insights and advice to leadership.
Requirements
- At least $10M in closed/won revenue over your career, at least 1/3rd of it individually and 2/3rds of it in an owner's role; if you have done that in 5 years, that's better than doing it in 10 years.
- A trailblazing track record of consistently exceeding targets at a team level at an enterprise-focused SaaS or AI startup selling to the US market.
- Experience selling deals larger than $100K ACV to the US market and a willingness to work USA hours (CST), as our clients/prospects are primarily in this geography.
- A visible inclination towards using technology and AI, and demonstrable experience setting up a world-class tool stack, processes, and playbooks in your earlier roles.
- Thorough knowledge of sales methodologies like DISC, MEDDPICC, Sandler, Challenger, etc.
- Formal training or certification in some of these.
- A sharp brain and an ability to strategize with the leadership and build a GTM motion that works like a scientific process.
- Ability to hustle and have dogged determination, but with a high level of discipline and structure.
- Highly competitive nature.
- Genuine love for your clients and a penchant for making them successful.
- Most importantly, the kind of values you have as a person.
What Matters Somewhat
- Ideally, 10+ years of experience in SaaS sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role selling to mid-market or enterprise customers.
- Significant success in selling an early-stage, hard-to-sell, category-creating product.
- Passion for technology, software, and how it helps businesses succeed.
- Participation in competitive sports at a serious level in the past.
- The school or college that you have gone to.
- Your scores and grades in school.
What Does Not Matter
What Do We Look For
- More than anything else, we look for exceptions. And accomplishments. Both across professional life as well as personal life.
- We believe that only a few people become great later in their lives. Those who become great have usually shown some signs of greatness, big or small, right from their early years. They probably did something great at school, something great during college, in their community, in their professional life, and so on.
- All of them do not have to be usual accomplishments or exceptions. Dropping out of college to pursue sports (or acting, or a startup) is not an accomplishment, for example, but it surely is an exception. Becoming a national-level sportsperson is an accomplishment. Becoming an international-level sportsperson is an even bigger accomplishment.
- We look for such exceptional and/or accomplished people. If you don't have something like this in your profile, odds are that you would not get shortlisted.
