About the Role

Our client is the captive finance arm of one of the world's largest Korean automobile groups, supporting wholesale and retail finance for two leading global automotive brands. This is a greenfield India set-up expected to grow to 1,000+ employees within a year. The HR Head will be one of the first leadership hires (likely 2nd or 3rd employee) and will have complete ownership of building HR policies, culture, and systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish HR department, policies, SOPs, and governance in alignment with global standards.
• Lead talent acquisition to scale rapidly from start-up to 1,000+ employees.
• Define organisation structure, grading, and performance frameworks.
• Build an engaging, high-performance culture adapted to the Indian market.
• Implement HR technology, payroll systems, and people-management platforms.
• Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
• Ensure compliance with all Indian labour laws and ethical standards.
• Advise leadership on people strategy and organisational development.

Qualifications

• 1518 years HR leadership experience in financial services, automotive, or captive set-ups.
• Proven success in building HR functions in start-up or high-growth environments.
• Strong compliance knowledge and stakeholder management skills.
• Postgraduate qualification in HR from a reputed institution.
