Role Summary:
- A creative mindset for storytelling through aesthetic imagery and copywriting to inspire, inform and educate internal and external stakeholders.
- A critical role in the Communications department, the candidate would be required to work closely with the Vice-Chancellor and other stakeholders to develop designs for print (brochures, reports, posters), digital (emailers, banners, infographics, illustrations) and internal branding solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop print/digital graphics as per University's requirement and brief.
- Work on various media and contribute to design needs for website, reports, signage, marketing etc.
- Develop Ahmedabad University brand identity for internal & external stakeholders
- Unify and evaluate communication material from various schools and centres under Ahmedabad University
- Archiving of photographs and other design materials
Take decisions on all print production, materials and finishes in liaison with University staff and vendors
Key Skills:
- Good photography and photo editing. Motion graphics and video editing skills
- Flexibility to work in alliance with various departments of the University on multiple projects and constructively incorporate their inputs
- Excellent grammar and communication skills to work closely with the University content writer
- Extensive knowledge of print production and ability to deal with various vendors
- Should be able to take the Design from digital platforms to the execution stage
- Understanding of various formats, keeping function over form
- Ability to deliver under pressure with quick turnaround time
- Detail-oriented and valuing sincere perseverance.
- Should be skilled in Adobe After Effects
- A passionate team worker with an inclination towards the cause of higher education
Qualification:
- Education in Web / Graphic / Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, Communications, or related discipline with a design background desirable. Candidates from reputed institutes will be preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe After Effects.
- Candidates with relevant design experience of 3 to 4 years will be preferred, and freshers may apply.
