Job Title: General Manager - Country Operations (Bangladesh)

Job Description: As the General Manager – Country Operations (Bangladesh), you will own end-to-end country performance: operational delivery, sourcing execution, P&L, client satisfaction and team leadership. You are a hands-on leader who converts strategy into repeatable processes, builds supplier capability, and grows profitable business in Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Country P&L & strategy: Own the Bangladesh P&L, translate strategy into a 12 to 24-month country plan, drive profitable growth and margin improvement.
- Sourcing & operational delivery: Lead sourcing execution across factory selection, costing, capacity planning, quality, lead-time and on-time delivery.
- Business development & key accounts: Work with Account Managers to grow existing customers and capture new business; participate in high-value client negotiations.
- Team leadership & culture: Build, mentor and retain a high-performing cross-functional team (sourcing, QA, commercial, operations); establish clear KPIs and career paths.
- Financial Management: Manage the budget, financial performance, and profitability within the country. Monitor financial metrics and take proactive steps to ensure financial targets (P&L) are met.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients through Account management. Ensure that customer needs are met and strive for client satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards within the country.
- Process, systems & continuous improvement: Implement best practice S&OP, quality systems and use data/analytics to improve productivity and predictability.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on the country's operational performance to senior management. Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions.
Eligibility and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's / master's in business, Textiles, Supply Chain, or related field
· 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, with a strong track record in Bangladesh operations
· Proven track record owning country P&L, building sourcing capability, and delivering margin / delivery improvements.
· Deep knowledge of Bangladesh apparel manufacturing, factory ecosystems, compliance landscape
· Strong commercial acumen – cost modelling, negotiation, budgeting and P&L ownership
· Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities
· Excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
