Role: Technical Recruiter (Freelance / Remote)

About The Opportunity

A talent-acquisition role within the Technology & IT Services sector, supporting fast-moving software engineering, cloud, and data teams that hire across India and globally. This freelance assignment focuses on high-volume and niche technical hiring for product and engineering roles in a fully remote setup.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for technical roles: source, screen, coordinate interviews, manage offers, and close candidates as a freelance partner.
  • Build proactive pipelines for software engineers, DevOps, cloud, data, and QA profiles using advanced sourcing techniques and Boolean search.
  • Operate ATS and candidate CRM workflowsensure accurate candidate records, timely feedback loops, and pipeline metrics.
  • Conduct technical screening calls, assess candidate fit against job requirements, and prepare concise shortlists for hiring managers.
  • Manage stakeholder communication across hiring managers, interview panels, and external vendors to accelerate time-to-hire.
  • Deliver weekly status reports and hiring forecasts; recommend improvements to sourcing funnels and interview processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Proven freelance or contract experience in technical recruitment across software engineering roles.
  • Demonstrable track record of sourcing and closing mid-to-senior technical hires in a remote environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to run independent hiring cycles end-to-end.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with professional interview and offer-management skills.
  • Reliable remote working setup and availability to coordinate across India time zones (IST).
  • Familiarity with compensation benchmarking and candidate expectations in the Indian tech market.

Preferred

  • Certification or formal training in technical sourcing or recruitment (e.g., LinkedIn Certified Professional Recruiter).
  • Experience recruiting for cloud, data, or AI/ML engineering roles.
  • Prior success partnering with startups or high-growth product teams.
