About The Role
We are looking for Freelance AI Tech Instructors to join our expanding team as we bring the Preface experience from Hong Kong to Singapore. This role is for the tech-obsessed, the natural storytellers, and the educators who believe that AI literacy is the most important language of the 21st century. Ideal for people that are used to the tech industry, such as ex-business analysts, system engineers, or developers.
As a Freelance Instructor, you will be the face of Preface in the classroom, leading our flagship AI Agent programme. You'll be empowering professionals, entrepreneurs, and companies to master prompt engineering, automation, and data analytics; helping them build deployable AI solutions in record time.
What you'll be doing
Instructional Delivery & Excellence
- Lead dynamic, high-energy AI workshops and courses for adult learners (B2C) and corporate clients (B2B).
- Deliver our flagship 48-hour AI Agent programme, guiding students from basic prompt engineering to building fully functional, automated AI workflows.
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
Learning Experience & Engagement
- Foster a student-centered environment that prioritises hands-on practice over passive lecturing.
- Facilitate live Q&A sessions with confidence, addressing real-world business use cases on the fly.
- Provide personalised feedback and support to ensure every learner walks away with a portfolio-ready AI project.
Tech Innovation & Curriculum Feedback
- Stay ahead of the curve by constantly testing new AI tools and sharing insights with the team.
- Collaborate with the global Content Research team to provide feedback on curriculum effectiveness and local market relevance.
- Represent Preface at community events, tech showcases, and workshops to grow brand affinity in the Singapore market.
Requirements
- A Passion for AI: You don't just use AI, you experiment with it daily. You have a deep understanding of prompt engineering and workplace automation.
- Command of the Room: Proven experience in teaching, public speaking, or corporate training. You know how to keep an audience of busy professionals engaged for hours.
- Accessibility: You have a flair for making the complex simple. You can explain a neural network to a 5-year-old (or a CEO) without breaking a sweat.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a growth mindset. You view unexpected technical glitches as teachable moments.
- Availability: Flexible schedule with a preference for candidates available during weekdays and occasional weekends.
- Language: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Background: Experience in EdTech, software development, or digital transformation is a significant plus.
- Qualifications: WSQ ACLP preferred but not mandatory
