Job Description

Job role: Food server/steward

Location: Kerala/Karnataka

Department: Hotel/Restaurant

Job experience: 1-3 years

Job brief

A food server/steward shall be responsible for greeting, meeting, serving and servicing guests at company's F&B cafes operating under each backpacker hostel/hotel. He/she shall be entrusted to effectively manage a 80-100 cover restaurant overseeing multiple facets of F&B service as per company's standard operating procedures.

Job responsibilities

  1. Greeting and welcoming guests courteously upon their arrival in the cafes
  2. Escorting guests to their tables and helping them scan company's QR based menus
  3. Enabling guests to order food & beverage seamlessly by helping them with menu
  4. Ensuring timely food servicing and by attending to their needs and requests
  5. Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of dining areas
  6. Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
  7. Up-selling and promoting specials offers
  8. Handling customer grievances and resolving complaints professionally
  9. Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

Qualifications

  1. Diploma in hotel management or relevant course in hospitality
  2. Min. 1 year of experience in a hotel, hostel, guest house, restaurant, cafes, QSR, etc.
  3. Extensive operational knowledge of hotel F&B operations
  4. Outstanding communication, interpersonal & time-management skills
  5. Flexible to relocate anywhere in northern India
  6. High attention to detail
