About The Role

At Unreconciled, we provide outsourced financial management solutions for businesses in the UK and the US. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our growing team. As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in managing client financial operations, coordinating the flow of work, and ensuring that projects are executed smoothly. This role requires a strong background in finance, project management, and client coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with both internal teams and clients to deliver comprehensive financial support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Financial Operations: Manage end-to-end client financial operations, ensuring smooth integration and execution of financial tasks.
  • Work Papers Preparation: Prepare detailed work papers to support financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making processes.
  • Project-Based Accounting & Reporting: Handle project-specific accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivering reports to clients.
  • Client Coordination: Manage the flow of work between clients and associates, ensuring tasks are completed on time and according to client requirements.
  • Controller Coordination: Work with the Controller to ensure additional accounting activities are completed, providing support as needed for various projects.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting: Assist the Controller with ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis.
  • VAT & Sales Tax Filings: Prepare and file VAT and sales tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Compliance Filings: Handle other compliance filings, keeping clients up to date with necessary regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their financial needs are met and queries are promptly addressed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in project coordination, finance, or accounting roles.
  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. ACCA Affiliate or equivalent is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
    • Experience with VAT, sales tax filings, and compliance regulations.
    • Strong grasp of end-to-end financial management and reporting
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with both clients and internal teams.
  • Organisation Skills: Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Team Structure

  • Reports directly to the Controller.
