In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead end-to-end country financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, and statutory filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with corporate and regional requirements.
- Maintain adherence to local statutory regulations.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities within the country.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Drive country-level budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with business leaders and the APAC regional finance team.
- Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor performance against forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ongoing focus on process improvement using the Veralto Enterprise System.
- Ensure strong internal controls are implemented, maintained, and regularly reviewed.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings and ensuring timely remediation.
- Enforce compliance with corporate policies, local governance frameworks, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Business Partnering
- Act as the primary finance advisor to the Country General Manager and leadership team.
- Provide commercial insights and support pricing, investment decisions, scenario modelling, and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, HR, and Supply Chain to drive overall business performance.
- To support the General Manager and Leadership team in driving the Global initiatives (PD) for Hach India in 2026.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team to ensure high performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Manage workload allocation, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the finance function.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Experience: 15 years of post-qualification experience in handling Financial Accounting for the Commercial organization
- Education: CA/CPA or equivalent qualification. Masters Degree from a reputed institute would be added advantage
- Excellent knowledge and practical understanding of applicable accounting policy, tax regulation, Indian accounting standards and US GAAP
- Strong accounting background, especially revenue/expense recognition rules
- Experience in improving Internal Controls and exposure to Sarbanes Oxley. Working capital analysis and management
- Strong communication skills in English is essential
- Demonstrate leadership skills: strong leadership style that establishes a team environment to achieve results
- Demonstrate strong business acumen. High motivation and energy trend, demonstrated capability in working in matrix work environment. High integrity and honesty. Creative and innovative, detail orientated. Self-starter and independent thinker that is team focused.
