The opportunity:
Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced PMO Manager (Project Management Office) to join our Grid Automation team. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the project governance framework, ensuring high-quality project reviews, and driving robust risk management across a complex portfolio. You will act as a bridge between executive leadership and project execution, providing the oversight necessary to maintain operational excellence and financial integrity.
The ideal candidate brings a deep technical background in electrical systems combined with a disciplined approach to project management. You must be a big picture thinker who can drill down into the details of project health, identifying potential pitfalls before they impact the business.
How you'll make an impact:
Governance & Review: Establish and lead rigorous Project Review cycles to monitor health, progress, and financial performance across the Grid Automation portfolio.
Risk Leadership: Drive the Project Risk management framework facilitate risk identification workshops and ensure mitigation plans are actively managed and reported.
Performance Oversight: Monitor and analyze KPIs across multiple projects to ensure alignment with Hitachi Energy's strategic goals, budget, and delivery timelines.
Standardization: Implement and refine project management methodologies and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency in execution.
Strategic Support: Act as a senior advisor to Project Managers, providing coaching and troubleshooting for complex execution challenges.
Financial Control: Oversee project-level financial reporting, ensuring accuracy in revenue recognition, margin protection, and cash flow forecasting.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with cross-functional leaders in Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance to resolve systemic bottlenecks affecting project delivery.
Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to internal integrity standards, health and safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Education in bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering.
10-15 years of total experience in the Power, Transmission, or Grid Automation industry.
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience as a Project Manager, having successfully led large-scale, complex projects.
Certification: PMP Certified (Project Management Professional) / LSS Green Belt is added advantage.
Industry Knowledge: Deep domain expertise in Grid Automation technologies and market dynamics.
Expertise: Proven track record in advanced Project Risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Soft Skills: Strong authoritative presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable executive insights
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
