Job Responsibilities of an Automobile Sales Executive
Customer Engagement & Needs Assessment
- Greet and engage walk-in customers with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Understand customer preferences, budget, and intended use to recommend suitable vehicles.
- Offer test drives and explain vehicle features, benefits, and comparisons.
Sales Presentation & Negotiation
- Present financing, insurance, and warranty options clearly.
- Negotiate pricing, trade-in values, and payment terms.
- Close deals efficiently and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
Lead Management & Follow-Up
- Maintain a database of leads and follow up regularly via calls, messages, or visits.
- Convert inquiries into showroom visits and visits into confirmed bookings.
- Track customer interactions using CRM tools and update records diligently.
Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify and approach potential customers in assigned territories (corporates, institutions, residential areas).
Conduct cold calls, door-to-door visits, and participate in local events or exhibitions.
Build a pipeline of qualified leads through field activities.
Post-Sales Relationship Building
- Ensure smooth delivery and handover of the vehicle.
- Follow up post-sale to confirm satisfaction and encourage referrals or repeat business.
- Address any post-purchase concerns or coordinate with service departments.
Sales Targets & Reporting
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare daily/weekly sales reports for management review.
- Stay updated on competitor offerings and market trends to refine sales strategies.
Promotional Activities & Brand Representation
- Participate in dealership events, roadshows, and promotional campaigns.
- Represent the brand with integrity and enthusiasm both in-person and online.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align messaging and outreach.
