Role Overview
As a Senior Fashion Designer, you will lead the design process from concept to final production. You will be responsible for creating season-relevant collections, mentoring junior designers, and working closely with the production and sourcing teams to ensure quality execution. This role requires strong trend forecasting skills, design leadership, and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design development for collections (concept to sampling to production)
- Research trends, market insights, fabrics, and color stories
- Develop creative mood boards, design themes, and seasonal concepts
- Create detailed tech packs and design specifications
- Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams
- Approve fabrics, trims, prints, and samples
- Guide and mentor junior designers and interns
- Ensure designs align with brand identity and customer preferences
- Monitor timelines and manage multiple projects efficiently
- Conduct design reviews and resolve fit or quality issues
- Stay updated on global fashion trends and competitor brands
- Collaborate with marketing teams for campaigns and launch support
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or related field
- Expertise in silhouettes, fabric selection, and garment construction
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office
- Strong understanding of trend analysis and color theory
- Knowledge of tech packs and production processes
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Detail-oriented with a creative and commercial mindset

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Technology, or related fields.
- 45 years of textile development, sourcing, or quality experience.
- Strong understanding of woven, knitted, and blended fabrics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, finishing, and testing processes.
- Preferably from NIFT, Pearl Academy, or similar institutes.
