Job Description

1. Fund Management & Strategy

  • Asset Allocation: Determine and monitor the daily fluctuations in asset values; make high-stakes decisions on the timing of acquisitions and divestments.
  • Strategy Development: Design and select investment strategies (Long-only, Long-short, Private Equity, etc.) aligned with the fund's mandate.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Provide expert guidance on fund management to maximize returns while mitigating risk through diversified asset allocation.

2. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Liaising with Regulators: Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and filings with SEBI, RBI, and IFSC.
  • AIF Governance: Ensure the fund operates within the legal boundaries of its specific Category (I, II, or III) and stays updated on changing tax and compliance norms in GIFT City.

3. Research, Analysis & Reporting

  • Market Prediction: Evaluate macroeconomic trends and financial markets to forecast future performance.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor the Assets Under Management (AUM) and provide comprehensive updates to clients on individual investment progress.
  • Documentation: Generate high-fidelity reports on asset tracking and recommend corrective measures where performance deviates from benchmarks.

4. Leadership & Technical Excellence

  • Team Mentorship: Guide and review the work of the Analyst team, ensuring research papers and presentations are Investment Committee ready.
  • Technical Mastery: Build complex financial models and utilize market tracking applications (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.) to drive data-centric decisions.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the financial sector, with at least 2 years specifically in AIF or PMS operations.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, Financial Modeling, and PowerPoint skills. High proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting to the Investment Committee and high-net-worth clients.
  • Qualifications: Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA Charterholder, or have an MBA in Finance from a top-tier institution.
