Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Executive EHS to lead our safety initiatives and ensure comprehensive compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all project sites. The ideal candidate will be a safety champion who can build and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring zero-incident operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Management & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems across all project sites
- Ensure 100% compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations (Factory Act, Construction Safety Rules, IS codes)
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at project sites
- Maintain and update safety policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for permits, clearances, and compliance reporting
Incident Prevention & Investigation
- Implement proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation programs
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Develop andmonitorleading and lagging safety indicators and KPIs
- Create and implement corrective and preventive action plans
- Maintain incident reporting systems and near-miss reporting culture
Training & Awareness
- Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all levels of employees
- Conduct safety induction for new employees, contractors, and visitors
- Organize safety awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Develop safety training materials, videos, and communication tools
- Ensure competency assessment and certification tracking
Site Safety Coordination
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety performance and compliance
- Conduct pre-construction safety planning and method statement reviews
- Implement permit-to-work systems and safe work procedures
- Coordinate emergency response planning and evacuation procedures
Environmental Management
- Implement environmental management systems and sustainability practices
- Monitor air quality, noise levels, and waste management at project sites
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and green building standards
- Coordinate waste segregation, recycling, and disposal programs
- Support LEED/IGBC certification processes for projects
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop andmaintainemergency response plans and procedures
- Conduct emergency drills and coordinate with local emergency services
- Maintain first aid and medical emergency response capabilities
- Coordinate fire safety systems and evacuation planning
- Ensure business continuity planning for safety-related incidents
Required Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Diploma in Industrial Safety (DIS) or equivalent safety qualification
- NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or other internationally recognized safety certifications preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification mandatory
- 2-5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in construction/infrastructure
