Job Description
We are looking for a Document Controller to join our team in Gurgaon.
At AECOM, we deliver a better world by combining technical expertise with innovation. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Document Controller to support our project teams by ensuring efficient management, control, and distribution of project documentation in line with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works under direct supervision on routine tasks, following established document control procedures and standards.
- Collaborates with team members and end-users to troubleshoot basic document management issues.
- Contributes effectively to team objectives and project deliverables.
- Supports the development and implementation of basic document control solutions.
- Coordinates with Project Managers and IT/Records Management teams to ensure proper protection, storage, and retrieval of project records, recommending appropriate media, rotation, and procedures.
- Understands project requirements and identifies appropriate document control resources and systems.
- Evaluates external tools and resources to enhance document management efficiency.
- Prepares and maintains statistical reports on document usage, access, and system efficiency.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
- Analyzes and selects appropriate information services to support project needs.
- Responds to correspondence related to document control and reference materials.
- Assists in selecting and procuring new resource materials and tools.
- May support specialized document control functions depending on project requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in document control or records management, preferably in engineering, infrastructure, or construction environments.
- Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, EDMS).
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
