The Team
The Director, Fund Operations will play a leadership role within A&M's Knowledge Services Practice, helping build and scale the Private Equity Fund Operations capability. This role combines deep fund operations expertise with commercial acumen, client leadership, and practice-enabling responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead strategic client engagements, help shape service and product offerings, drive operational excellence, support business development initiatives, and help build a scalable, high-performing team.
How You Will Contribute
Practice Building & Growth
- Help build and expand A&M's Fund Operations service offerings and delivery model
- Identify growth opportunities, adjacent services, and market trends
- Support commercial strategy, resource planning, and practice economics
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client pitches
- Help in ideation, prototyping and commercialization of products and blended services model in collaboration with the Data and Strategy teams
Client Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to PE clients, CFOs, Controllers, and Fund Administrators
- Lead complex fund operations engagements across capital activity, investor reporting, fund accounting oversight, reconciliations, and audit support
- Ensure exceptional client service, quality, and stakeholder management
Operational Excellence
- Establish scalable operating procedures, controls, and quality standards
- Oversee critical client deliverables and issue resolution
- Drive process improvement, automation, and best-practice adoption
Team Leadership
- Mentor, and develop AD's, Managers, and team of Associates and Analysts
- Build knowledge assets, training programs, and delivery capabilities
- Foster a high-performance, client-centric culture
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in PE fund operations, fund administration, fund accounting, or outsourced fund services
- Strong understanding of fund structures, capital flows, waterfalls, fee mechanics, investor reporting, and fund governance
- Experience managing senior client stakeholders and large delivery teams
- Demonstrated ability to build capabilities, scale teams, and drive operational excellence
- Commercial mindset with exposure to pricing, solution design, and business development
- CA, CPA, FRM/CFA, MBA, or equivalent qualification preferred
