About The Role
The R75540 Manager, Digital Marketing at Lonza is a strategic and hands-on role focused on governing product information, digital assets, and content standards within the Bioscience division. This position is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of ecommerce experiences across multiple markets. The role involves managing Product Information Management (PIM) and Product Content Management (PCM) within SAP Commerce Cloud, overseeing taxonomy, enrichment rules, and digital asset governance, particularly within DAM platforms like Picturepark or Fotoware. The manager acts as a quality gate for all product and content publication processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Technology, Marketing, and Regional stakeholders to maintain content integrity and platform readiness. This role requires a blend of detailed execution, governance, and process ownership, supporting the company's goal of delivering high-quality, compliant, and localized product content to global customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) PIM/PCM systems, including product data governance and content management.
- Hands-on experience managing product taxonomy, attributes, and enrichment rules to support scalable ecommerce platforms.
- Strong knowledge of digital asset management (DAM) platforms such as Picturepark or Fotoware, including metadata standards and asset readiness processes.
- Understanding of product data quality standards, validation processes, and pre-publish content QA procedures.
- Proficiency in performing minor HTML and markup edits within CMS or governed templates to support content presentation and SEO.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technology, marketing, and regional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with localization processes and supporting multi-market ecommerce environments.
- Knowledge of SEO principles related to taxonomy and structured product data is advantageous.
- Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Own and govern PIM/PCM processes within SAP Commerce Cloud, ensuring product data standards, enrichment rules, and attribute completeness are maintained for accuracy and consistency across the catalog.
- Develop and enforce standards for product titles, descriptions, imagery, and naming conventions to enhance content quality and uniformity.
- Coordinate with product managers, creative teams, and ecommerce stakeholders to resolve content gaps, imagery issues, taxonomy discrepancies, and SKU readiness requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of product content and digital assets to identify and address gaps in metadata, classification, and asset coverage.
- Manage and optimize product taxonomy and category structures to support effective navigation, findability, SEO, and scalable growth of the product catalog.
- Lead governance of digital assets within DAM platforms, including metadata standards, approval workflows, and compliance with ecommerce usage policies.
- Establish and monitor product data quality standards through validation procedures and pre-publication checks to ensure readiness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with regional teams to ensure localization standards are met while supporting global content consistency.
- Perform quality assurance on CMS and product content, validating taxonomy alignment, asset associations, metadata completeness, and adherence to standards prior to publication.
- Make minor HTML or markup adjustments within SAP Commerce Cloud to support content layout, SEO, and accessibility, adhering to governed templates and standards.
- Work closely with Technology, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams to support platform enhancements, data model changes, and workflow improvements related to content management.
- Evaluate the impact of content, taxonomy, and PDP structure on platform performance, collaborating with architecture teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Utilize tools such as Google Analytics and GTM to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the digital content and ecommerce initiatives.
