About The Role

This is a full-time on-site role for a Desktop Support Engineer L2 located in Bengaluru. The role involves providing technical support for Dell Laptops & Desktops, troubleshooting hardware issues, and addressing technical queries. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and resolving issues related to computer hardware and providing efficient support to ensure uninterrupted operations including Asset Management. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the IT infrastructure's stability and ensuring end-user satisfaction through prompt and effective support.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Desktop Computers and expertise in Computer & Laptop Hardware
  • Experience in Technical Support and Troubleshooting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Training & Monitoring L1 Resources on daily tasks
  • Excellent communication skills to support end users effectively
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent are a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an on-site team
  • Asset Management Skills

Responsibilities

The Desktop Support Engineer L2 will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for Dell laptops and desktops, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware issues, installing and configuring hardware components, and performing routine maintenance. The role also involves supporting end users with technical queries, guiding them through troubleshooting steps, and escalating issues when necessary. Monitoring and managing IT assets to ensure accurate inventory and lifecycle management is a critical aspect of this position. Additionally, the candidate will oversee and mentor L1 support resources, ensuring they adhere to best practices and deliver quality service. Maintaining documentation of support activities and resolving recurring issues to improve overall support efficiency are also essential duties. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential hardware or software issues before they impact end-user productivity, along with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with users and team members.
