Job Title: Senior Design Engineer Solar Energy

Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design process of solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, carport, etc.).
- Create detailed electrical and structural design drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst, and SketchUp.
- Conduct site assessments, evaluate technical feasibility, and perform energy production simulations.
- Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Should have the knowledge of both AC and DC Design
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE), utility requirements, and local AHJs.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Support permitting process by preparing and reviewing design packages.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support design optimization to reduce costs and improve performance.
- Stay updated on new technologies, materials, and industry trends.
- Troubleshoot design issues during project execution and provide engineering support through project lifecycle.
