Purpose: The incumbent will be responsible for developing a business development strategy focused on market share gain
Position: - Business Development Manager
Experience: - 4-6 years
Qualification:- B.E./B. Tech. (Mech/Metallurgy/Rubber Technology/Mining) and MBA in Marketing Preffered
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Aggressive New Business Acquisition
o Hunt for new customers in untapped industrial zones and verticals (e.g., automotive, heavy engineering, process industries).
o Identify and pursue high-value prospects with speed and persistence.
2. Direct Field Sales
o Visit factories, industrial sites, EPC contractors, and OEMs to pitch products and close deals.
o Conduct daily field visits, cold calls, and targeted prospecting campaigns.
3. Rapid Pipeline Building
o Build and manage a high-volume sales funnel with a focus on quick conversion.
o Maintain a strong pipeline through continuous prospecting and follow-ups.
4. Hard-Nosed Negotiation & Closing
o Lead tough commercial negotiations and close deals under tight timelines.
o Ensure contract finalization, order booking, and payment follow-up.
5. Target-Driven Sales Execution
o Smash monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with no excuses.
o Deliver measurable growth in new customer accounts and territory penetration.
6. Account Handover & Handoff
o After closure, transition accounts to key account managers or internal teams for servicing, while continuing to focus on new hunts.
7. Product Pitching & Positioning
o Master the technical aspects of products (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, fabrication components) to confidently pitch to engineers and procurement heads.
o Use demos, samples, and on-site product walkthroughs to influence purchase decisions.
8. Competitor Knockout Selling
o Penetrate competitor-strong territories and win customers through better value, speed, or service.
o Capture market share by displacing incumbent vendors.
9. CRM & Reporting Discipline
o Maintain up-to-date records of all interactions, deals, and forecasts using CRM tools.
o Provide daily or weekly reporting on field activity, targets achieved, and pipeline status.
10. Event & Trade Show Hustling
Actively participate in industry trade shows, expos, and B2B meets to gather leads and drive visibility.
Functional Skills
Prior exp in Sales dept of any Mining / Equipment Manufacturing industry preferred
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
