Job Description

The Dean will provide visionary leadership to establish a globally respected School of Education dedicated to research excellence, innovative teaching, and transformative impact on education systems.

1. Strategic Leadership & Institution Building:

  • Articulate and implement a bold vision and strategic roadmap aligned with the University's mission.
  • Establish the School as a globally benchmarked centre for education research, faculty preparation, and leadership.

2. Academic Program Development:

  • Design and launch high-quality academic programs, including B.Ed., M.Ed., and PhD in Education, along with interdisciplinary offerings in areas such as Learning Sciences, Education Policy, Leadership, and Educational Technology.
  • Ensure global benchmarking and integration of research-led teaching, practice-based learning, technology-enabled pedagogy, and international collaborations.

3.Partnerships & Ecosystem Development:

  • Establish strategic partnerships with schools, governments, policy institutions, NGOs, global universities, research centres, and EdTech organizations.
  • Position the School as a hub connecting research, policy, and practice.

4.Research Leadership:

  • Build a world-class research ecosystem with strong institutional capabilities.
  • Establish thematic research centres and labs in areas such as learning sciences, education policy, faculty development, educational technology, and assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Education or a closely related discipline.
  • Distinguished academic record with strong research and publication profile.
  • Significant leadership experience in academia, research institutions, or large education organizations.
