CareEdge Advisory is a wholly owned subsidiary of CARE Ratings Limited, India's leading ratings agency. CareEdge Advisory provides credible, end-to-end ESG services to Corporates, Financials Institutions, Banks and Institutional Investors with business solutions which are tailored made, pragmatic and practically implementable.

Position: Assistant Director – Business Development (Mumbai)

We are looking for a seasoned business leader with a strong track record in driving revenue, building strategic client relationships, and expanding advisory businesses across ESG, Industry Research, and TEV domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Business Growth: Lead end-to-end business development across ESG, Industry Research, and TEV services, with a strong focus on revenue generation and market expansion.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationships: Leverage existing networks and build deep relationships with CXOs and senior stakeholders across large corporates and BFSI in the Western region.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute business plans aligned with organizational growth priorities and emerging market opportunities.
  • Market Development: Identify new sectors, solutions, and client segments to scale CareEdge Advisory's footprint.
  • P&L Ownership: Deliver on revenue and profitability targets with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal leadership and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams; drive a culture of accountability and performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in business development/consulting sales within ESG, sustainability, industry research, TEV, or related advisory domains
  • Strong network with large corporates and BFSI clients, especially in the Western region
  • Demonstrated ability to close large-ticket deals and drive consulting revenues
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
  • Prior experience in leading teams and managing client portfolios
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

Qualifications

  • MBA / PGDM (or equivalent) from a reputed institution
  • Significant relevant experience in advisory/consulting/business development roles
