About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Punjabi Script & Subtitles Editor to ensure high-quality
localization and dubbing output for content projects.
This role requires strong expertise in script editing, subtitle validation, dubbing workflows,
and lip sync accuracy, along with a deep understanding of Punjabi or Rajasthani, Gujrati or Bhojpuri or Haryanvi, language nuances,
dialects, and cultural context.
Key Responsibilities
- Script Editing & Localization
- Review and refine scripts to ensure clarity, emotional depth, and narrative
consistency
- Adapt and localize content into Punjabi while maintaining tone, intent, and storytelling
impact
- Ensure dialogues are natural, culturally relevant, and regionally authentic
- Subtitles Review & Quality Control
- Proofread subtitles for grammar, spelling, and contextual accuracy in Punjabi or Rajasthani, Gujrati or Bhojpuri or Haryanvi.
- Ensure proper timing, segmentation, and readability
- Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and character voice
- Dubbing & Lip Sync Expertise (Critical Requirement)
- Review dubbed content for accurate lip sync and dialogue alignmen
- Modify dialogue where needed to match mouth movements and scene pacing.
- Collaborate with dubbing artists to ensure natural, fluent Punjabi or Rajasthani, Gujrati or Bhojpuri or Haryanvi delivery.
- Cultural & Regional Adaptation
- Ensure content reflects authentic Punjabi dialects, slang, and cultural nuances
- Adapt references to improve local audience relatability and engagement
- Collaboration & Coordination
- Work remotely with writers, translators, dubbing artists, and production teams
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to enhance overall content quality
- Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Conduct end-to-end quality checks before final delivery
- Identify and fix inconsistencies across script, subtitles, and dubbed audio
- Ensure output meets defined quality standards and timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications (Mandatory)
- 3–5 years of experience in script editing, subtitles review, localization, or dubbing
- Native or near-native proficiency in Punjabi or Rajasthani, Gujrati or Bhojpuri or Haryanvi (written and spoken)
- Strong command over Hindi and/or English
- Hands-on understanding of:
- Dubbing workflows
- Lip sync alignment ○ Subtitle formatting and timing standards
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and linguistic accuracy skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently on deadlines
Preferred (Good To Have)
- Background in creative writing, scriptwriting, or storytelling.
- Experience with OTT, media localization, or audio/video platforms.
- Familiarity with tools like Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, or similar.
- Experience working on regional content projects.
