Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Mumbai for a Commis Chef at Suchali's Artisan Bakehouse. The Commis Chef will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality baked goods, maintain strict hygiene standards in the kitchen, and support the team in executing day-to-day culinary tasks. Additional responsibilities may include inventory management, ensuring cleanliness in food preparation areas, and participating in menu development and experimentation in accordance with the bakehouse's focus on quality and creativity.

Qualifications

• Skilled in Food Preparation and Cooking, with a strong foundation in Culinary Skills
• Knowledge and application of Hygiene and sanitation standards in food service
• Effective and clear Communication skills to collaborate with team members
• Enthusiasm for artisanal and handcrafted baked goods, with a focus on quality and detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and thrive under a fast-paced kitchen setting
• Previous experience in a professional baking or culinary setting is preferred
• Formal culinary or baking education is a plus
