CNC Programmer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and write CNC programs for milling, turning, and/or multi-axis machining centers.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining.
• Set up and prove out CNC programs on the shop floor.
• Optimize existing programs to improve cycle time and tool life.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure part accuracy and manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and provide corrective actions.
• Maintain program documentation and revision history.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in CNC programming using software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, Siemens NX, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machine operations and setups.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling tools.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and quality-conscious.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in precision machining for aerospace/automotive/medical components.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and DNC software.
