Lead the day-to-day management of the construction project, ensuring alignment with the design, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and local building codes.
Act as the client's representative on-site and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
Monitor the performance of the contractor and sub-contractors to ensure the timely and quality completion of work.
Design & Quality Assurance:
Review construction designs and ensure they are being implemented according to specifications and plans.
Identify and resolve any design or construction discrepancies or issues that may arise.
Conduct quality inspections, audits, and ensure proper documentation of work completed.
Project Coordination & Documentation:
Collaborate with the project management team to monitor project progress, report on status, and identify any potential risks or delays.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, changes, and daily reports.
Ensure compliance with the project's budget, timeline, and scope by managing construction schedules and performing regular site assessments.
Approve materials, methods, and schedules proposed by the contractor.
Safety & Compliance:
Oversee the implementation of safety procedures on-site and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide guidance and support to contractors and workers regarding safe practices and accident prevention.
Conduct site safety meetings and ensure all construction personnel are trained and follow safety protocols.
Team Leadership & Training:
Supervise and mentor junior engineers, site supervisors, and other construction personnel.
Coordinate with other engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of all project phases.
Provide training and professional development opportunities for the site team.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the client and senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and any issues requiring attention.
Manage client relationships, addressing concerns and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
Professional certification or membership (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE) is highly desirable.
Experience:
