Category Manager
For candidates who love P&L; ownership, building products, driving growth, and working closely with Sales and Marketing.
P&L Ownership Growth Strategy Course Portfolio Sales Funnel Student Outcomes About the Role Testbook is looking for a Category Manager who can think like an owner and drive business growth end-to-end.
You will own category growth by shaping the right course portfolio, planning new GTMs, improving pricing, driving lead quality and conversions, and ensuring a strong student experience with academics and operations teams.
1 What You'll Own
1 Category Growth & P&L; Drive revenue, growth, and profitability. Track performance, identify gaps, and take ownership of outcomes.
2 Strategy, GTM & Portfolio Launch new courses/programs, plan GTMs, define pricing, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen the portfolio.
3 Marketing & Sales Collaboration Work with Marketing and Sales to improve lead quality, campaign performance, pitch positioning, and conversions.
4 Revenue Hygiene & Funnel Performance Track video calls, follow-ups, conversions, drop-offs, revenue collection, and sales productivity.
5 Student Experience & Outcomes Partner with Academics and Operations to improve feedback, engagement, outcomes, and satisfaction.
You're a Great Fit If You
• Have 2-4 years of experience in category management, business ownership, P&L;, growth, or similar roles.
• Are comfortable working with numbers, dashboards, targets, and business metrics.
• Can collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Faculty, and Operations to drive outcomes.
• Have strong problem-solving skills and can identify practical growth opportunities.
• Can take ownership without waiting for detailed instructions.
• Understand how to convert business goals into execution plans.
• Are comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
