Role Overview

The Category Manager – Culinary Experiences will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Broadway's entire food universe, spanning packaged foods, beverages, live carts, and in-store dining concepts. This role is responsible for curating a trend-forward, customer-centric culinary ecosystem that transforms food into an integral part of the Broadway experience while driving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Strategy & Planning:
  • Define and execute the category vision for Culinary Experiences, ensuring alignment with Broadway's experience-first philosophy.
  • Curate a differentiated mix of local, artisanal, premium, and digital-first culinary brands.
  • Build and manage the annual business plan, including sales targets, assortment strategy, and profitability goals.
  • Partner & Brand Management:
  • Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with food entrepreneurs, chefs, restaurants, and packaged goods brands.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including revenue share, margin structures, and marketing collaborations.
  • Ensure partners meet Broadway's standards of quality, safety, and innovation.
  • Customer Experience & Operations:
  • Collaborate with operations, design, and events teams to deliver immersive culinary activations such as tastings, pop-ups, seasonal menus, and festivals.
  • Oversee seamless day-to-day operations of all food formats, ensuring exceptional service, hygiene, and consistency.
  • Work closely with facilities and compliance teams to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement:
  • Partner with marketing to create high-impact campaigns, launches, and loyalty programs centered around culinary storytelling.
  • Use customer insights to design personalized offers, experiences, and curated menus that drive engagement.
  • Performance & Growth:
  • Own the P&L for the Culinary Experiences category, ensuring healthy growth and profitability.
  • Analyze category performance and continuously refine the mix based on insights and trends.
  • Innovate new revenue streams through unique food-led experiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 6–8 years managing premium food experiences, hospitality projects, or category management in food and retail sectors.
  • Proven track record in handling diverse culinary categories, including packaged foods, beverages, and live food formats.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in vendor negotiations, revenue share models, and margin management.
  • Deep passion for food culture, culinary trends, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Hands-on experience in curating and executing experiential food concepts, activations, and partnerships.
  • Ability to analyze category performance, manage P&L, and drive data-backed decisions for growth.
  • Established network within the culinary ecosystem, including chefs, food entrepreneurs, and artisanal brands.
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally with operations, design, marketing, and events teams to deliver integrated experiences.
  • Previous exposure to premium or lifestyle-driven retail environments is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and deliver them flawlessly.
