Job Title: Business Development – ESG Advisory

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and driven professional to support the growth of our ESG Advisory practice. The role will focus on driving business development, client engagement, and strategic partnerships across corporates & financial institutions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong relationship-building skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to position ESG as a value-creating proposition. Prior ESG experience is not mandatory, but an interest in sustainability and impact is important.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Development & Origination
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline across corporates, NBFCs, banks, and DFIs
  • Drive outreach, meetings, and conversion of ESG advisory mandates
  • Track and respond to RFPs/bids in the ESG space
  • Contribute to revenue generation and achieve BD targets

2. Client Engagement

  • Build and manage relationships with CXOs, sustainability teams, and investors
  • Understand client needs and position relevant ESG solutions
  • Support proposals, pitch decks, and commercial discussions

3. Market Development & Partnerships

  • Identify and drive partnerships with industry bodies and ecosystem players
  • Contribute to thought leadership (reports, roundtables, events)
  • Track market trends, regulations, and competitor landscape

4. Internal Collaboration

  • Align closely with delivery teams to translate client needs into solutions
  • Provide inputs for product development based on market feedback
  • Support refinement of ESG offerings and go-to-market strategy

Key Skills & Competencies

  • MBA / CA / Post-Graduate from with 8–10 years of experience in corporate banking, consulting, or financial services, with exposure to mid and large corporates
  • Demonstrated track record in originating and closing mandates, with the ability to engage confidently with Promoters, CFOs, and ESG Heads
  • Prior exposure to advisory, structured finance, or ESG/sustainability initiatives would be an advantage (not mandatory)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to position ESG as a value-creating proposition
  • Self-driven, versatile, and comfortable handling end-to-end ownership across business development and strategic initiatives

Preferred Background

  • Experience in business development / client-facing roles in:
  • Financial services
  • Consulting / advisory
  • Exposure to B2B sales, partnerships, or institutional relationships
