Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Manager role based in the Pune Division, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Business Development Manager will identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in information security consulting and training, focusing on building a sustainable pipeline of clients. Responsibilities include conducting market research, mapping target segments, generating leads, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure. The role involves preparing and delivering tailored presentations, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses in collaboration with technical and delivery teams. The Business Development Manager will maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and ensure a smooth handover to project teams. Daily tasks also include maintaining accurate CRM records, tracking sales metrics, coordinating with marketing on campaigns and events, and representing the company at industry forums, webinars, and client meetings.
Qualifications
  • Proven skills in B2B sales, business development, and account management, preferably in IT, cybersecurity, or professional services.
  • Strong abilities in lead generation, pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and closing complex deals with multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of information security concepts, IT audits, compliance, and risk management (prior exposure to ISO 27001, SOC, PCI-DSS, or similar is a plus).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical offerings into clear business value.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder management capabilities across client, partner, and internal teams.
  • Competence in using CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic data analysis to track performance and forecast revenue.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a hybrid setup, managing time and priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience
