Job Location: Pashan, Pune

Peppermint is a robotics company based out of Pune (INDIA). Started in 2019 at SINE IIT Bombay, Peppermint Robotics has grown into a leader in commercial cleaning robots, industrial material handling robot and has its operations across 6 countries. Peppermint Robotics has teams based out of its offices in Pune (INDIA), Dubai (UAE) and Austin (USA).

Role Overview

As Business Development Manager for Peppermint Platforms, you own the full lifecycle of our platform partnerships — from identifying and closing OEM/ODM deals to driving their delivery and growth. You will be the commercial and relationship owner for a portfolio of partners: opening doors and structuring multi-year agreements. This is a relationship-driven role, measured in long-term, high-value partnerships rather than transactional wins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads across target geographies (India and overseas) through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, industry events and trade shows, referrals, and channel/partner networks.
  • Identify and pursue OEM, system-integrator and distributor partners for Peppermint technology platforms — Peppermint OS, FMS, and ODM platforms (AGV, AMR, AGF) and develop them through to commercial engagement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of product roadmap, customer segment and portfolio gaps and position the right mix of platform, software and customization for the requirements.
  • Translate commercial commitments into clear plans — scope, milestones, deliverables, acceptance criteria and SLAs.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility and customer success.
  • Coordinate with internal product, engineering, manufacturing and supply-chain teams for project delivery.
  • Facilitate customer visits, technical workshops and executive-level discussions as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships, ideally in the robotics or automation industry with a demonstrated track record of closing large deals or partnerships
  • Good understanding of mobile robot platforms, software and technologies for industrial automation, material handling or intralogistics projects.
  • Strong project-management skills: running cross-functional project delivery, milestones and multi-stakeholder updates.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills — comfortable preparing clear, high-quality documentation (proposals, specs and reports).
  • High agency and self-motivated — able to take ownership and drive initiatives independently end to end.
  • Willingness to travel to build and manage partner relationships.
