Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ahmedabad for a Business Development Manager. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve company goals effectively. The Business Development Manager will conduct market research, negotiate contracts, and create strategies to expand the company's client base while increasing revenue. The role also requires regular engagement with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and identify new partnership opportunities.

Role:

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify high-value leads across international markets with a focus on the coaching, personal development, and EdTech sectors.
  • Conduct discovery calls, virtual meetings, and presentations to understand client pain points and position our offerings as the definitive solution.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through negotiation to signed contract, with a strong emphasis on high-ticket programme closures.
  • Develop and execute market entry strategies for new geographies, including market research, competitor analysis, and ideal customer profiling.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects using CRM tools, ensuring consistent follow-up and timely progression through stages.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation campaigns, content, and outreach sequences for maximum conversion impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate qualified leads through outbound channels LinkedIn, email sequences, cold calls, and strategic networking events.
  • Connect with the right organisations and decision-makers globally; initiate and lead e-meetings, video calls, and discovery sessions that move deals forward.
  • Close high-ticket deals (typically $5,000–$50,000+ programmes) using proven consultative selling frameworks and impeccable communication.
  • Research and map target markets: identify industry trends, key players, and untapped segments to expand the organisation's international footprint.
  • Represent the brand with poise and authority every interaction should reinforce confidence, credibility, and value.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets, reporting progress transparently to leadership.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to inform product development, pricing strategy, and go-to-market positioning.
  • Support the development of sales scripts, pitch decks, proposal templates, and follow-up sequences that reflect best-in-class standards.

Requirements & Experience:

  • 3–7 years of proven Business Development, Sales, or Account Executive experience with a demonstrable track record of closing high-ticket deals.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) to a professional standard; exceptional presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills are non-negotiable.
  • Hands-on experience in the coaching or personal development industry; deep understanding of the buyer psychology in this space.
  • Proven success operating in or selling into international markets comfortable navigating cross-cultural business environments.
  • High-ticket closing expertise: you have closed deals above $10,000 and know how to manage objections, build urgency, and drive commitment.
  • Solid marketing knowledge understanding of lead funnels, digital campaigns, social selling, and content-driven demand generation.
  • Self-starter mentality: proactive, autonomous, and deeply motivated by outcomes rather than activity.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and outreach tools (Apollo, Lemlist, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
