Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in the Retail Automation Industry to drive business growth across RFID Solutions, Retail Automation, IoT, and Enterprise Technology Solutions. The ideal candidate should have proven expertise in B2B sales, enterprise client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and solution selling within the retail technology and automation domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and generate new business opportunities in Retail Automation, RFID, IoT, and Technology Solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brands, corporate clients, channel partners, and key decision-makers.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation, prospecting, and client engagement to proposal submission and deal closure.
  • Conduct client meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, and solutions discussions with prospective customers.
  • Understand customer business challenges and collaborate with technical teams to provide tailored automation solutions.
  • Drive revenue growth by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Lead and mentor the business development team, ensuring high performance and target achievement.
  • Monitor sales pipelines, business opportunities, and team performance through CRM and reporting tools.
  • Explore new markets and industry segments to expand the company's footprint in the retail automation sector.
  • Prepare business proposals, commercial offers, quotations, and strategic presentations.
  • Manage key accounts and ensure long-term customer satisfaction and relationship management.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, retail technology events, conferences, and networking activities.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, emerging retail technologies, and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Business Development and B2B Sales experience in the Retail Automation Industry.
  • Proven experience selling solutions such as RFID, Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL), Self-Checkout Systems, Retail POS Solutions, IoT Solutions, Smart Retail Technologies, Store Automation, or Loss Prevention & Asset Tracking Systems Solutions.
  • Strong experience in enterprise sales, client acquisition, account management, and strategic business development.
  • Demonstrated success in handling large retail chains, retail brands, supermarkets, hypermarkets, and organized retail clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, automation technologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in team handling, sales leadership, and revenue growth management.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, business development activities, and industry events.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Existing network within the Retail, FMCG, Hypermarket, Supermarket, Fashion Retail, or Specialty Retail sectors will be an added advantage (Optional).
