The Senior Manager - Business Development will be responsible for driving strategic business growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term enterprise relationships across domestic and international markets.
The role will lead new business acquisition, key account management, strategic partnerships, and revenue generation for UCS's portfolio of debt collection, receivables management, credit intelligence, business information, and risk management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the organization's growth objectives.
- Drive revenue generation through acquisition of enterprise and corporate clients.
- Identify new business opportunities across Banking, NBFCs, Insurance, FinTech, Telecom, Manufacturing, E-commerce, and corporate sectors.
- Build a strong sales pipeline and ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.
- Expand UCS's presence in domestic as well as international markets.
2. Strategic Account Management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key enterprise clients.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term account profitability.
- Conduct periodic business reviews with clients.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling existing services.
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial discussions.
3. Market Expansion & Strategic Partnerships
- Identify emerging markets, new industry segments, and strategic alliances.
- Develop partnerships with financial institutions, business information providers, and channel partners.
- Explore new service offerings and recurring revenue opportunities.
- Represent UCS at industry forums, conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
4. Credit Intelligence & Business Information Solutions
- Drive sales of credit reports, business intelligence reports, due diligence solutions, and risk assessment services.
- Promote subscription-based business intelligence offerings.
- Identify opportunities to expand the organization's data and intelligence business.
5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product, and Technology teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Align business commitments with operational capabilities and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and guide the Business Development team to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
- MBA in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputed institute.
- 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, Strategic Partnerships, or Key Account Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Prior experience in Debt Collection, Banking, Financial Services, Credit Information, Business Intelligence, Insurance, or Risk Management will be preferred.
- Proven experience in handling enterprise and strategic accounts.
