Business Development Manager

GM University (GMU), located in Davanagere, Karnataka, was established under the State of Karnataka Act No. 19 of 2023. Just 4 km from the city center and well-connected by road and rail, GMU provides accessible higher education to diverse sections of society. Although the university is new in name, it carries a legacy of over two decades through its established GM Institute of Technology (GMIT), founded in 2001, which is renowned for its excellence in engineering and technology education. This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager. The individual will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with educational and corporate partners, and expanding the university's academic and professional offerings. Daily responsibilities include developing and executing business strategies, conducting market research, managing partnerships, and identifying resource opportunities. Collaboration with internal teams to align objectives and ensure consistent growth will also be an integral part of the role.

• Proven experience in business development, sales, and strategic planning
• Strong networking and relationship management skills
• Proficiency in market research and data analysis to inform growth strategies
• Ability to create impactful presentations and implement effective marketing campaigns
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with public speaking experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and remotely, with self-motivation and time-management skills
• Familiarity with the education sector, particularly higher education, is desirable
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
