Job Summary
As a Business Development Head at Dhee Coding Lab, you will be the frontline ambassador for our Training and Placement Programs, focusing on acquiring and nurturing relationships with engineering and degree colleges throughout Karnataka. This high-impact role demands a proactive, results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With approximately 70% travel across the region, you'll engage directly with institutional leaders, showcase our value proposition, and close deals that propel our growth. Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Lead Generation: Identify and target potential clients (engineering and degree colleges) through market research, networking events, cold outreach, and referrals. Develop and execute a robust sales pipeline to secure 10+ new college partnerships per quarter.
- Relationship Building:Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and workshops to demonstrate the ROI of our Training and Placement Programs. Cultivate long term relationships with college principals, placement officers, and academic heads to foster trust and loyalty.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to tailor proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals. Achieve and exceed quarterly revenue targets through consultative selling.
- Market Intelligence:Stay abreast of trends in higher education, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in Karnataka's academic landscape. Provide insights to refine our go-to-market strategy.
- Travel & Field Engagement: Dedicate 70% of your time to regional travel (Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hubballi, Mangaluru, and beyond) for client meetings, campus demos, and industry events. Manage travel logistics efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Reporting & Collaboration:Maintain accurate CRM records (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent), track KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, pipeline velocity), and report progress to senior leadership. Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless program delivery post-sale.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in EdTech, education services, or B2B SaaS targeting academic institutions. Proven track record of hitting sales quotas in a relationship-driven sales cycle.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Kannada (both written and spoken) essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders in Karnataka.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex value propositions clearly and persuasively.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities, with a consultative sales approach. o Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and basic analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
- High energy, resilience, and adaptability to a travel-intensive role (valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively required).
- Deep understanding of the Indian higher education ecosystem, particularly engineering and degree colleges in Karnataka.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in EdTech or training/placement services.
- Network of contacts within Karnataka's academic community.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools for lead generation.
