About the Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition
- Identify and target new business opportunities through research, networking, and market analysis.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product/service demos.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and account retention.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, pricing strategies, and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to ensure aligned messaging and delivery.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support business strategy and product enhancements.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and activities in CRM systems.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on sales pipeline, performance metrics, and forecasts.
Networking & Partnerships
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote the company.
- Explore and build strategic partnerships to enhance business reach.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing high-value deals.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and think strategically.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Fintech.
- Knowledge of B2B sales cycles.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of digital tools, lead generation techniques, and sales automation.
