Job SummaryThe Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth for IT software and services. The role involves market research, lead generation, proposal development, and closing deals while collaborating closely with technical and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities in IT software services, SaaS, web, mobile, cloud, and enterprise solutions
- Generate leads through cold calling, LinkedIn, email campaigns, networking, and partnerships
- Understand client requirements and propose suitable IT solutions
- Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations, and RFP/RFI responses
- Conduct client meetings, product demos, and negotiations
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Coordinate with technical, project management, and marketing teams
- Track sales pipeline and update CRM regularly
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field
- Proven experience in IT software sales / business development
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and IT services
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills- Experience selling custom software, SaaS, mobile apps, cloud solutions
- Knowledge of international markets (US, UK, Europe, Middle East)
- Familiarity with pricing models, contracts, and compliance
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum environments
