Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Business Development Manager based in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating and converting business opportunities for commercial interior fit-out, turnkey, and design-build projects. The role requires strong networking abilities, corporate client handling, project closure capabilities, and coordination with internal departments to ensure the successful acquisition of projects and client satisfaction. The individual will also be tasked with researching market trends, attending industry events, and representing the company's services to potential clients.
Job Description:
1. Business Generation & Client Acquisition
Generate new business opportunities through market visits, networking, references, cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, consultants, architects, and corporate connections.
Identify potential clients in corporate offices, retail, hospitality, healthcare, residential, and commercial sectors.
Develop strong business relationships with architects, project management consultants (PMC), corporates, developers, and channel partners.
Create and maintain a healthy project pipeline for interior fit-out projects.
2. Lead Handling & Sales Conversion
Handle the complete sales cycle from inquiry generation to project closure.
Arrange client meetings to understand project scope, budget, timelines, and expectations.
Conduct company presentations and portfolio discussions with clients.
Coordinate site visits and requirement analysis meetings.
Follow up aggressively with clients for proposal discussions and project conversion.
3. Tendering & Commercial Coordination
Coordinate with estimation and design teams for BOQ preparation and commercial proposals.
Participate in commercial negotiations and finalize project terms with clients.
Ensure profitability and commercial viability before project closure.
4. Coordination with Internal Teams
Coordinate with:
Design Team for concept presentations
Estimation Team for costing
Project Team for execution feasibility
Procurement Team for material coordination
Accounts Team for payment terms and documentation
Ensure proper project handover to execution team after project confirmation.
5. Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing patterns, and upcoming projects.
Identify new business opportunities in target sectors.
Maintain database of ongoing and upcoming projects in the market.
Suggest business growth strategies to management.
6. Client Relationship Management
Build long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
Maintain regular follow-up with clients for repeat business opportunities.
Handle client concerns professionally during pre-sales and post-sales stages.
Ensure high level of customer satisfaction and relationship retention.
