Job Description

We are looking for an Institutional Development Associate to support the growth of our Global Investing business. The role will focus on building and managing relationships with Relationship Managers (RMs) across leading bank-broker partners. The individual will play a key role in driving business growth by enabling RMs, increasing client participation, and supporting the execution of business initiatives across partner networks.

This is a highly relationship-driven role that combines stakeholder management, business development, field engagement, and execution. The candidate will work closely with senior business leaders, Branch Managers, and Relationship Managers and gain exposure to one of the fastest-growing segments within the financial services industry.

Relationship Manager (RM) Engagement

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Relationship Managers.
  • Conduct regular interactions with RMs to understand business opportunities, address challenges, and drive engagement.
  • Support RM education through training sessions, webinars, and business updates.
  • Act as a key point of contact for RMs, ensuring timely resolution of queries and seamless support.

Business Development

  • Drive growth in client acquisition, account activation, and funding through partner distribution channels.
  • Work closely with RMs to identify prospective clients and convert opportunities into business outcomes.
  • Track lead pipelines and conversion metrics to improve business performance.
  • Support the execution of regional and our partner branch-level initiatives aimed at increasing Global Investing adoption.

Partner Relationship Management

  • Assist in managing institutional relationships with our partners.
  • Coordinate with partner stakeholders to ensure alignment on business priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Support partner reviews, business discussions, and performance tracking activities.

Business Tracking And Reporting

  • Monitor key business metrics including leads, account openings, funding, activation, and revenue.
  • Prepare business reports, dashboards, and performance summaries.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement through data analysis.
  • Support leadership reviews through timely and accurate reporting.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Operations, Product, Compliance, Marketing, and Technology teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Escalate and track partner and client-related issues until resolution.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives across partner networks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Business Development, Relationship Management, Wealth Management, Banking, Financial Services, Fintech, or Institutional Sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Comfortable engaging with large RM networks and partner stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ownership mindset with strong execution capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passionate about investing in general.
  • Prior experience working with banking, wealth management, brokerage, or financial services institutions is a plus.
  • Exposure to sales enablement, distribution management, or channel development.
  • Understanding of investment products, capital markets, or global investing will be an advantage.
  • Willing to travel to branches across Chennai and to other states for business requirements.
