About Tcules

Tcules is a design-led product engineering company helping SaaS and tech-first businesses build scalable digital products. Our work spans product design, design systems, frontend and full-stack engineering, and increasingly AI-first product development.

We work closely with founders, product teams, and business leaders to turn ideas into production-ready software. As we grow our business development function, we're looking for a junior BD professional who can support our senior BD lead in building a strong and consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.

What this role really is

This is a junior business development role focused primarily on lead generation, prospect research, outbound outreach, and follow-up execution.

You will work closely with the senior Business Development & Growth person, who will define the sales strategy, target segments, outreach direction, and business development plan. Your role will be to support that plan with disciplined research, accurate lead building, thoughtful outreach, and clear communication.

This role is ideal for someone early in their BD career who has strong communication skills, is curious about B2B sales, and wants to learn how modern business development works inside a design and product engineering company.

The senior role owns broader responsibilities such as consultative selling, prospect meetings, solution pitching, proposal strategy, revenue planning, and growth ownership; this junior role will support those efforts mainly through research, outreach, and pipeline-building activities.

What you'll work on

You will support the senior BD person across lead generation, research, outreach, and reporting.

That includes:

  • Building qualified lead lists based on defined target segments, industries, geographies, and company profiles
  • Researching companies, founders, product leaders, CTOs, and other relevant decision-makers
  • Identifying buying signals, company updates, funding news, hiring patterns, product launches, and other useful context for outreach
  • Supporting outbound outreach across LinkedIn, email, Upwork, and other relevant channels
  • Drafting personalized first-touch messages, follow-ups, LinkedIn notes, and email outreach under guidance
  • Maintaining and updating CRM sheets, lead trackers, outreach status, and pipeline data
  • Tracking outreach activity, responses, follow-ups, and next actions
  • Supporting Upwork opportunity research and helping prepare first drafts of responses
  • Coordinating with the senior BD Lead to ensure timely follow-ups with prospects
  • Helping organize Tcules case studies, proof points, and service references for use in outreach
  • Using AI tools to improve research, personalization, lead qualification, and outreach preparation
  • Preparing weekly activity reports on leads researched, outreach sent, responses received, and learnings
What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is sharp, organized, proactive, and strong in communication.

Must-have
  • Around 1 year of experience in business development, lead generation, sales development, outbound sales, or a similar client-facing role
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to write clear, professional, and personalized outreach messages
  • Comfort with LinkedIn, email outreach, online research, and basic CRM or spreadsheet tracking
  • Ability to understand target customer profiles and identify relevant companies and decision-makers
  • Strong attention to detail while researching and maintaining lead data
  • Confidence to communicate internally, ask questions, and follow structured sales processes
  • Curiosity about technology, SaaS, product design, and software development services
  • Ability to work from office and collaborate closely with the senior BD lead
Especially valuable
  • Prior experience in B2B services, IT services, software development, SaaS, design, or digital product companies
  • Exposure to LinkedIn, Apollo, Lusha, HubSpot, Instantly, Smartlead, Upwork, or similar tools for outreach execution
  • Experience writing cold emails, LinkedIn messages, or proposal drafts
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI design, product design, frontend development, full-stack engineering, or AI-led product work
  • Ability to use AI tools like ChatGPT for research, message drafting, summarisation, and personalisation
  • Comfort working with targets, activity metrics, and weekly reporting
AI-native mindset

A meaningful part of how we are building our business development process is through better use of AI. You don't need to be an AI expert, but you should be comfortable using AI tools to work faster and better.

We value someone who can use AI for:

  • Prospect and company research
  • Summarizing company websites, LinkedIn profiles, and product information
  • Drafting and improving outreach messages
  • Personalizing emails based on prospect context
  • Organizing research notes
  • Improving follow-up quality
  • Reducing repetitive manual work

Most importantly, you should know that AI is a support tool - not a replacement for clear thinking, good judgment, and human communication.
