Role Overview
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will play a critical role in driving new business acquisition and strengthening client relationships. This position is ideal for individuals who have prior experience in sales within a technology company and understand how to position IT services to diverse client segments. The role demands persistence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a structured, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify potential clients through market research, outbound calls, LinkedIn outreach, references, and networking
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective clients
Conduct initial discovery calls to understand client requirements
Maintain an organized database of leads, follow-ups, and conversions
2. Sales Presentations & Client Engagement
Present company services in a clear, structured, and professional manner
Translate technical offerings into simple, value-driven explanations
Conduct virtual or in-person meetings with decision-makers
Build trust and credibility with clients through consistent communication
3. Proposal Development & Negotiation
Collaborate with the operations team to prepare proposals, quotations, and pricing structures
Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to close deals profitably
Handle objections professionally and provide suitable solutions
Ensure a smooth transition of new clients to the project execution team
4. Sales Reporting & Documentation
Record all interactions, follow-ups, and deal progress in internal tools or CRM
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports
Track key metrics such as lead conversion ratio, pipeline strength, and revenue contribution
Share insights with management to improve sales strategies
5. Client Relationship Management
Maintain long-term relationships with clients for repeat and referral business
Act as a point of contact for client queries related to sales or service agreements
Stay updated on new services, technologies, and market trends to better assist clients
Required Skills & Qualifications
Up to 1 year of experience in sales within a technology or IT services company
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical offerings clearly
Good understanding of web development, eCommerce, digital solutions, or related tech services
Proficiency in negotiation, lead nurturing, and deal closure
Ability to work under pressure and achieve monthly targets
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in English and Hindi; Marathi is an advantage
Basic computer skills including MS Office, CRM tools, and email communication
