Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Executive to support revenue growth and commercial execution across the sales lifecycle. The role spans lead generation, RFQ management, cross-functional bid coordination, and customer engagement, along with ownership of select marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on role with exposure to leadership, customers, and strategic decision-making in a high-growth aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & CRM Management
- Own and maintain the CRM pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Drive lead generation through direct outreach, industry connections, and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare and present regular pipeline and opportunity updates to leadership.
RFQ & Bid Management
- Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Quality teams to prepare competitive RFQ responses.
- Understand technical, commercial, and contractual requirements to support accurate and timely bid submissions.
- Manage RFQ timelines from receipt through submission and handover to Operations.
Customer Engagement & Nurturing
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and industry partners.
- Support customer communication through the proposal, negotiation, and early execution phases.
Marketing & Brand Support
- Contribute to the development of marketing collateral, presentations, and case studies.
- Support website updates and social media engagement to strengthen brand visibility.
- Create professional, customer-facing presentations using PowerPoint.
Process & Business Exposure
- Support implementation of structured project and sales processes aligned with PMBOK principles.
- Ensure alignment with aerospace quality and compliance standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across sales and commercial execution.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience or MBA with 1+ year of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within aerospace, defence, or manufacturing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence in customer-facing interactions.
- Basic understanding of aerospace component manufacturing and industrial supply chains.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment with multiple priorities.
