Location: Pune

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and result-driven Business Development Executive to support revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and closing sales deals. The role requires a strong understanding of business and technology needs, proactive lead generation, and end-to-end sales cycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand business and technology scenarios to identify potential opportunities and client requirements.
  • Generate leads, build relationships with new clients, and plan effective sales approaches and pitches.
  • Manage the complete business development cycle including prospecting, account management, and deal closure.
  • Independently handle sales for multiple software solutions and services.
  • Maintain and update sales pipelines, client interactions, and documentation using CRM tools.
  • Travel within India (approximately 5060%) for client meetings, negotiations, and business engagements as required.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates for management review.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of products and services to effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Strengthen direct sales and business development initiatives.
  • Execute targeted sales and marketing campaigns and collect structured client feedback.
  • Create professional presentations and deliver them during client meetings, exhibitions, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with leadership on sales planning, goal setting, and short- and long-term business development strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or higher in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 35 years of experience in business development or sales within the Life Sciences, Informatics, or related domains (preferred).
  • Exposure to computational tools for drug discovery or bioinformatics is an added advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong listening abilities.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience using CRM software is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering professional sales presentations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven, growth-oriented environment.
