Role Overview

The Business Development Executive plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying opportunities, engaging decision-makers, conducting site surveys, coordinating proposals, and supporting closures.

This role demands high ownership, structured follow-ups, field execution, and strong client communication skills. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, and Estimation teams to convert opportunities into long-term contracts and AMCs.

Key Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Identify and approach potential B2B clients across:
  • Commercial offices
  • Hotels & hospitality assets
  • Hospitals & healthcare facilities
  • Industrial & warehouse facilities
  • Premium residential complexes
  • Generate leads through cold calling, emails, WhatsApp, referrals, and field visits.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

2. Client Engagement & Requirement Understanding
  • Engage with Facility Managers, Admin Heads, Purchase Teams, Engineers, and Decision Makers.
  • Understand client pain points, operational challenges, and compliance needs.
  • Conduct basic requirement discovery before site surveys.

3. Site Visits & Surveys
  • Coordinate and attend site visits along with Operations / Technical teams.
  • Capture scope details, constraints, expectations, and service requirements.
  • Ensure all site data is documented accurately for estimation and proposals.

4. Proposal & Closure Support
  • Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, BOQs, and proposals.
  • Present proposals clearly and confidently to clients.
  • Follow up on quotations, negotiations, and approvals.
  • Support contract closures, AMCs, and work order issuance.

5. CRM, Reporting & Process Adherence
  • Maintain accurate data in CRM / trackers (leads, site visits, quotes, follow-ups).
  • Track movement of opportunities across sales stages.
  • Share weekly and monthly sales updates with the reporting manager.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal sales SOPs and timelines.

6. Relationship Building & Account Support
  • Build long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Support repeat business, renewals, and cross-selling of services.
  • Act as a bridge between client expectations and operations delivery.

Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable with field sales, site visits, and client meetings.
  • Ability to explain technical services in a simple, client-friendly manner.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline.
  • Target-driven mindset with ownership mentality.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, CRM tools.

Preferred Background
  • Experience in Facility Management, Engineering Services, HVAC, Housekeeping, Technical Manpower, Cleaning Services, or B2B Services.
  • Exposure to AMCs, contract-based services, or project-based sales is a plus.
  • Mumbai / MMR market familiarity preferred.

What Success Looks Like in This Role
  • Consistent lead generation and site visits every week.
  • Healthy conversion ratio from site visits to closures.
  • Accurate CRM hygiene and timely follow-ups.
  • Strong client feedback and repeat business.
  • Revenue contribution aligned with monthly and quarterly targets.
