Backup Administrator

The Backup Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise backup and recovery solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role involves backup strategy planning, capacity forecasting, performance tuning, and ensuring disaster recovery readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead backup strategy planning, capacity forecasting, and performance tuning.
• Manage backup infrastructure including tape libraries, disk-based storage, and cloud backup solutions.
• Create and manage backup policies, automate backup jobs, and monitor Disaster Recovery Planning.
• Conduct regular disaster recovery drills and ensure business continuity readiness.
• Generate compliance and audit reports, diagnose failed backups, and perform incident management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to align backup policies with business requirements.
• Troubleshoot backup issues and optimize backup processes.
