B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science

Experience

3 to 6 Years of relevant experience in CommVault and Cloud backup Administration.

Mandatory Skills

1. Hands on working experience with Backup software like CommVault, NetBackup, Veeam.

2. Proficient with Linux or Windows OS.

3. Troubleshooting of the backup or restoration failure issues.

4. Must have worked on backup hardware like (physical / Virtual Tape Library (VTL), disk-based backups, understanding of taking backup via SAN, NAS and other mediums.

5. Closely monitor the Backup jobs and dashboard to track the real time backup failures.

7. Proficient in Incident Management, Performance Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and Alert Management.

8. Perform restoration as per the request after validating proper approvals and follow the ITSM process.

9. Installations / Upgrade / Configurations of new backup clients.

10. Configure and maintain backup policies, tape drives, Catalogue Backup, Reports and backup trend analysis and basic forecasting.

11. ITIL Awareness

Preferred Skills/Knowledge

1. Working knowledge on CommVault, HPE DataStoreonce .

2. RHCE Certified Administrator

3. Prior experience in banking domain with exposure to compliance requirement for various standards like PCI - DSS.
